Toenail Training Wheels Club

Okay, get this:  as time has gone on it’s dawned on me how ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT it is for a dog owner to be able to trim their own dog’s nails.  And it’s not just from the perspective that super long doggie toenails can cause all kinds of foot problems.

Here’s the thing about being able to do your dog’s toenails:  If you can do the toenails, you have a much better sense of how to handle (literally and figuratively) your own dog.
The other thing I’ve learned is this: Doing doggie toenails by yourself–is a lonely job.
Enter the Toenail Training Wheels Club.  A group of us have been getting together for several years now and trimming our doggie toenails.  Now Tiffany Padgett and I are going to open this up to all y’all.  Come hang out with us a couple of times a month, Sunday mornings at 11.  And for a reasonable fee, we’ll first do your dog’s toenails and then teach you to do them too.  Even the dreaded BLACK TOENAILS.

Here’s how it works:

A)  This is open to all dogs who have never actually bit anyone.  (We can discuss those dogs, but you’ll have to work with me in a behavior consult first.)

B)  We meet on various Sundays at 11 (see dates below).  Call or text me at 615-584-2940 to make a reservation.

C)  Your first visit is $10.  If your dog is a real challenge, we may not get all the toes done the first time, but will send you home with some exercises to makes subsequent visits easier.

D) If all the digits that need to be trimmed at the first visit are done, you get a discount on subsequent visits.  Easy peasy dogs are $5 if you continue to show up at least once a month.  Challenging dogs (drama mamas) are $7.50–provided you show up at least once a month.
